Summary: Key features in a nutshell

  • The Rhine-Main Science Dialogue enabled 81 researchers to conduct 166 face-to-face meetings with 177 policymaking professionals in 17 regional policymaking institutions in Mainz and Wiesbaden (Germany).

  • The format proved great for connecting many policymaking professionals who had not been in touch with scientists before—and vice versa.

  • The format proved very effective in involving scientists from many research areas, including STEM subjects, social sciences, humanities, business, and economics, as well as policymakers from various regional ministries and other policymaking institutions.

How does the format work?
